..any of you guys been approached recently by a guy selling various electronics that he claims he got for free and will just have to return to his a-hole boss if he doesn't find a buyer..just curious

Yeah, those in the white van and blah blah blah especially those big "monitor" speakers that totally sucks for ~400. This has been going on for years and years. Stories vary but its always about something free/cheap/overstocked and if he doesn't sell it, he has to give to back to the boss. ****ty electronics. My cousin got suckered into one 3 years ago.

There's quite a few of them buggah's here in da Bay Area too. Pair of them kept on bothering me while I was trying to mack They looked pretty shifty too haha.

yea..the guy offered a surround sound setup, a brand i hadn't heard of he did sell something to a guy i know in a home depot parking lot..this guy white, fairly clean cut he was sweating driving a newish GM suv

Had this in Vegas before we left big time. The local news channel went undercover and bought some and had them tested at a nice audio shop and I think they paid like $800 for the surround setup and the shop tested them and they are worth about $100 complete. They are just crap. Too bad its legal to do that stuff. They should be charged with misrepresentation or something. They have to be breaking some laws the way they sell the stuff.

Embarassingly enough some of my so-called "smart" friends *ALMOST* feel for this scam back in the day (YEARS ago).

I haven't stopped teasing them about it yet.
