Question Oahu Skaters?

So yeah, I'm doing the whole Honeymoon in Hawaii thing. Oahu for 5 nights and Kauai for another 5. I'm just trying to figure out if I should bring my skate or not. I saw a skatepark (in Oahu) online that's on some military base and was wondering if any of you guys knew anything about it. My wife-to-be's father was a colonel in the Army reserves if that helps at all But yeah, any info on skateparks would be greatly appreciated. TIA!

The one I'm talking about is the Hickam Hangar one. I found it here:

Hickam Hangar

That bowl alone seems reason enough to bring my skate. I'm just wondering how hard it is to get on the base and actually skate. Has anyone actually skated there?

Thanks for all the info guys. I'm an alright skater. I mostly ride skateparks/bowls/pools which is why I want to get into the Hickam park. I already made contact with a guy who's going to get me in. He was super cool about it and got back to me the same day via email. I really appreciate all the help. Also curious how hard it'll be to hook the kind when I get there . I'm not sure I want to travel with any, and I figure there's going to be plenty of local stuff anyways.
