I was driving home in a relatively sedate manner when I come across a black Mustang Cobra 'Vert snorting along. We went through an intersection or two (by the board of water supply in town) side by side and realized we were pacing eachother, holding gears a bit longer than we should "just in case"...

Right around the state capital (real smart right?) we carry first gear (thus I gave up the launch advantage) and did a stomp at ~20mph. I heard his motorbark and the huffer whine and grabbed 2nd gear. I didn't let off until I was well into 3rd gear - [that has to be close to ALMOST illegal speeds! ] and he was a couple or three cars back. I think he was VERY surprised, and I was VERY pleased to have staved off the hard charging force-inducted V8 from a roll!

I gave the guy a "Cool!" and he just stared blankly at me and my car with an open-mouthed grin on his face as if to say "WTF?"

Gotta love the Stage 4!

I posted something like this once and got my pee pee slapped... of course I am not a purveyor of fine filth GOOD KILL.

Lately I've been paced by a couple of Mustangs on the highway. I don't have the stage 4, though. And I think my next upgrade is going to be 'not a turbo'. Depends on availability. I might even get the next one in before I leave. Somehow I have to get this past Frau Preggo, though. I talked to her about it, and there was little joy. How do you hide $1500?

 

And Wes was telling me just last night about how "Richard & I are not into street racing. We just drive normally and ignore the guys that call us out".
