Does it have to be in Waikiki?
Padovanni's (sp?) is supposed to be good but I haven't been there. I like Mavro's but that's on the corner of King and McCully (on the way into Waikiki).

What type of food do you like? There are a lot of good places to eat around here but not necessarily in Waikiki.

edit: Oh yeah Dave, CONGRATS on your 1 year. My wife and I just celebrated our 2nd.

edit: Here's a link to Mavro's http://www.chefmavro.com

Not that it matters but Alan Wong is a total JACKHOLE. I don't care how good his food is, I'll never eat there.

With that being said, I heard the grinds are ONO.

Doesnt really have to be in Waikiki, just easier since we live close and a couple drinks and its a shorter drive home. Wife doesnt have her license yet, grr... Chauffeur dave on duty at all hours.

Thanks, grats on your 2nd. Im surprised I finally made it to my first. Split with the ex-wife the day before our 1st. Several years ago.

Can't disagree w/ Richard's choice but if you might also like Hy's (1440 Kuhio Ave) in Waikiki.

How about the Neptune Garden at the Pacific Beach? Nice aquarium, good selection of seafood. For a buffet, definetly try the Hawaii Prince Court at the Hawaii Prince Hotel. Best buffet on the island IMO. Also Canoes at the Ilikai is tasty without being overpriced. They just won best desert, salad and seafood entree at the Taste of Honolulu.
