I think I may be headed to the US Embassy in Islamabad, Pakistan in a couple of weeks.

 

I was born there. It was a nice and peaceful place back then. Now, it is not the best place for an American to be in.

There are pros and cons (not like I have a choice, though). Pro is that I will be fairly autonomous, and not just a regular 'drone' like I am here. It will be a new and exciting experience. On the other hand, it will promise to be anxiety-filled. I will, of course, stick out like a white man with a brown, camouflaged uniform carrying a long, plastic rifle would stick out anywhere...only moreso. There is no risk as far as Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs). There's always a sniper risk, but I will mainly spend my time within the compound. There is more than enough AF security around the perimeter. These points are all based on my assumptions, though.

I'm looking forward to it.

You'll have to have an RFF drafted and staffed through your HQ and then to my HQ and then to CFC, CENTCOM.
