Cool New shoes for the Legacy.

Tire Rack had (has?) the BBS RK in a 17x7" +48mm Subaru fitment on close-out for $219 each. I need a new set of wheels like I need another hole in the head, but I couldn't resist. They showed up last Thursday and I got them mounted today. They definitely look sweet, I'm very happy I decided to splurge on them.

Purty, eh?

I weighed one before I had the tires mounted, and then weighed one of the bare UK rims when I got them home. BBS RK is 17-17.5#, UK WRX wheel is 18.5-19#. That's using the "weigh me alone then weigh me holding a wheel on bathroom scale" technique, hence the 0.5# range to cover accuracy of the scale.

It's amazing what a new set of wheels will do to revitalize the look of a car. I got out of work late yesterday, so my car was nearly alone in the parking lot as I approached. I just couldn't help but think, daaaaaammmn, that looks bad ***! as I walked across the lot.

Maybe I should get a set of these for my sister's WRX? Hmmmm....
