new PB

I'm making my way up there. Hopefully I haven't peaked already.

13.517@98.23-->1.802

Had a 1.798 and a 1.790 as well.

Ain't it funny how you can keep screwing up, bogging, and basically humiliating yourself by getting poor times, even a 15.0 and just want to go home, and then all of the sudden you pull your head out of your duffel bag?

Like the motto of my new battalion...

"I'll Try, Sir"

Man, I'm loving that new launch pad...for now, anyway.

Also, I want to mention that we had an awesome showing of subydudes, and I heard 1 subydudette.

Let's see. 2 x black wagons (Push2/Ralph and unknown), 2 x silver wagons (gpatmac/me and Richie/Palaban), 2 x WRB sedans (Kawshon1/Wes and Mario), 2 x white sedans(InFeK/Jon and Is2Scooby/Richard), 1 x WRB wagon(etchylives/Greg), and 1 x yellow sedan (I'm guessing either yellow02wrx or B_drift).

I think there were more, but I thought it was awesome that 2 owners, V-rod/Ed and Rexstang/Jayson, were out there to support the cause.

It was awesome to see everyone out there. Glad I stuck around just a bit longer. I, too got a personal best. 14.992 @ 90.12. I now have a 14 second wagon (as Richard pointed out). Need launch practice, so it's off to the gulch next week. If you see my stupid @ss running along the side of the road this weekend, try not to hit me.

Greg,

That's great. Believe me, I had a goal of 14.9 not too long ago.

What I see in what I qouted above is that you're still tentative about hurting your car. YOU'RE DRAG RACING! You obviously enjoy it and want to go faster. You have to take off the kid gloves and beat the crap out of it in order to get that launch down.

If I didn't have the VF, I'd still be right there with you, as evidenced by my 15.0 last night.

The gulch rocks, though, don't it?

Thanks for the hello palaban!

Sorry I didn't get to meet the rest of you...but I think I got a nod from you gpatmac (silver wagon wearing the helmet) while waiting in line.

Last night I had my personal best....which would be sucky numbers for the rest of you...but I had LOTS of fun. Still a little tentative with my car...all that power!...but slowly getting a better handle on it. Need to work on that damn launch!

Take care and see you guys next time!

That wasn't reference to me afraid my car was going to blow up. It was a reference to me running in the Perimeter relay... But I am trying to be more aggressive when I drive, too. When I shift, I'm getting as close to power-shifting as I can without actually holding down the throttle the whole time. I've also gotten very good at hitting the rev-limiter as I am changing gears. Right at the edge. My biggest improvements need to come in the launch. Need to rev higher and get better about letting the clutch slip a bit faster. I told you last night that I realized I was only at 3-4k RPM on the launch. On my last one I was at 5k+ and it was better. I also got my reaction time to sub-1.000. Just need practice.

Oh yeah, the gulch rocks great. However, the other day after work I got a bit nervous when I noticed one of the Kiowa's watching me from above. I left real quick-like.

Sorry. I forgot about that suck-fest you're gonna do.

Don't worry about the KW's. They could give a care less. Probably was curious about what you were doing is all.

I know where you're coming from, though. Down there, I'd always err on the side of precaution.

B_drift,

I just thought it might've been you since I thought it had some body work, but I didn't take a good hard look.

Wow, P1 gunmetal. Sweet.
