New law in to watch out for...
Not sure if this is a repost, but remember...today, 1 July the new CELL PHONE law is in action.

Now that it is such a common thing and has become habit forming, you may want to be careful out there.

Honolulu has banned the use of handheld cell phones, text messaging devices, laptop computers and similar wireless gear. The law was signed by Mayor Mufi Hannemann on May 7, 2009, and goes into effect July 1. “This historic and comprehensive legislation was carefully crafted to help improve public safety on our streets and highways,” Hannemann said, perhaps referring to the issue’s long history in the city.
The fine for first offenses is $67. Honolulu police have posted an FAQ page related to the ban on use of mobile electronic devices while operating a motor vehicle.

Lame excuse to pull someone over for a "legitimate" reason.
Once they pull you over because they "thought" you had some sort of electronic device in your hand, they notice the Dark tint. Or the smell of a narcotic substance in the car. Or the smell of alcohol in your breath. Or or expired safety check. Or the expired registration sticker. Or your hot girlfriend in the passenger seat with a short skirt on.

This is a great law...I wish we had it here. Every time I get cut off, notice someone swerving in other lanes or any other unusually poor driving...it is always someone on a cell phone. I just got a new Garmin 765t and love the BT speakerphone on it.
I also just bought my two employees that we give Blackberries to, bluetooth earbud thingies. They're so cheap nowadays there's no reason not to.

We've been given ample warning for weeks it's coming so I have no remorse for those who get caught with it.
A decent BT headset costs 40 bucks. Getting caught is 60+ and waste of your time. Go figure.
I actually was on the phone today at a stoplight with a cop next to me. I had my windows down talking outloud to my car via the built-in BT. The cop was actually looking at me seeing if I was holding a phone.
