hi everyone, i just bought a used blue 04 sti. it has a downpipe, mid pipe and exhaust. it's throwing me a cel. any shop here installs the cel fix? thanks appreciate it.

 

Get a Cobb Accessport. It should fix the code and you'll get several performance maps with the ProTune potential. And welcome to i-club.

agree... just get a "mechanical" cell fix or diy kind... just need some "fouler" plug. and should do the trick...

camnet, this is just a guess...but do you have a black FD??

 

do you know what code its throwing? i mean most of the guys that have posted are presuming its the DP (with good reason). I would say get the code read first instead of chasing a ghost. that way you can go straight to the problem, believe it or not a unproperly sealed gas cap will throw a CEL. ask around in here someone has a code grabber and I am willing to bet they are more than welcome to hep you out.

hi Jess, ya i got the code read at waipahu subaru and an auto repair shop. their scanners said it was because of the exhaust. they cleared the exhaust code and the cel light went out for awhile but it came on again. shucks i thought the cel was gonna stay off haha, but oh well i gotta go buy the cel fix thanks for the input.
