If incorrect spark gap was the issue I would really think you have some other problems. TPS is the most probable and likely.

Just an update, replaced the coil packs. Same issue, now it revs to 3k instead of 2k. Reset the ECU in the process and no CEL has come back on yet, drove it lightly for about 10 miles around Wahiawa.

Subaru OEM TGV/TPS Sensor | FastWRX.com

Is this the correct sensor, for the tps? The description is saying theres 3 of them. Error codes haven't popped up yet but this was the last one to come up. Tried disconnecting and cleaning the connection.

Does it only say the p0121 or does it say p0121 and p0122. If its just p0121, most likely youll have to swap the old TPS for the new one. Try to see if anyone would lend you there TPS to see if a new TPS sensor is required.

there are 3 because there is one for the TPS and 2 for the TGV so a total of 3 on your car. the sensor works for both.

Update again. Changed the tps, same problems p0121, no other codes. Any ideas on what the next step would be?
