I have a 2000 2.5 RS. (Running on the stock original brake system)

I have to change the pads and would like to change the rotors. But it seems that most searches pull up the wrx stuff. my car is in serious need of these parts.

I'm pretty out of touch when it comes to cars now days and would like to learn what is good and what is not.

So if you know of any sites for the GC8 or just a good site to buy some rotors and pads from let me know. I don't race. but I can drive hard from time to time. I do love them twisties.

I also plan on flushing the fluid.

I have about $400 to spend. I know its not much. but I still have to pay for the install.

thats all you need if your goin to install it your self, its not hard to do and you can save alot of money... are you looking for performance parts?

 

Stock rotors from Checker, stealership, or where ever, EBC Redstuff ceramic pads from Summitracing.com. Get some ATE fluid and Goodridge lines from Raceshopper.com. You're done. Install them your self. Anybody that can leave the house without a helmet can replace brakes.

 

I can't install it myself. ( i live in an APT. and have limited tools.)

as far as the parts go. I would need to resurface my rotors so i figure i'd just by some new ones. if they are drilled or slotted the better for me.

as far as performance goes. I'd like to up grade alittle.

 

just resurface your stock rotors. if your not going to track your car there is no sense in getting slotted or drilled rotors. you will not see much if any advantage on the street with just new rotors. invest in a good set of pads, some good SS lines, and some superblue.
