See he is buying the car from a private owner. It needs to be a bank of some kind so when he makes payments it helps his credit.

Uhm...well any dealership that's hurting for business will probably work you into a car...for 25%. The FCUs won't though...they don't believe in giving people money that have bad credit...I think it's because of the high percentage of such people that get repo'ed.

Not the dealerships dude...the dealerships will contact their loan companies to get the loan for a personal purchase for one of THEIR CARS.

After thinking about it...I'd say that your friend will most likely get a loan at a dealership because the dealers are buckwild about it. So go ahead and go...just remember that in his situation, he's pretty much at their mercy. Just try to not pay too much in the principle amount that you finance and get a high APR....you'll have a not so bad chance at getting a lower APR after refinancing if he keeps his head down with his money.

Basically, your friend is screwed and won't have too many options right now. I know, I was in that situation in college but got out of it. Just go to a dealership and buy a car and start rebuilding his credit.

you boy should buy somthing cheaper and build his credit instead. at 25% he's not only getting bent over, but taking a shot in the mouth too.
