NEED HELP: Car Loan

Okay my buddy is trying to buy a car, and he needs a car loan very quickly, but his credit is not that great. Where does everyone recommend? He is trying to pick the car up tonight so we could use some suggestions quickly.

credit unions are the best. he could always go to any bank and pay the high interest for a while, build some credit and refinnance. also a co-signer would help. call greg, he would know. L8R

Well he already tried Navy FCU, and Winward FCU. He was denied by both. Even if I cosign with him and I have great credit.

He'll have to rebuild his credit and you normally just can't do that in one night. Tell him be patient and work on his credit first.

With bad credit expect to put down a big down payment and big interest. That's just how it works if you F up. I've been working on mine crap a$$ credit I destoryed in college and it takes years to fix. If you need a car now, you're going to end up loan sharking it and yes 25% isn't unheard of to these guys. It ends up being a personal loan instead of a car loan.

Or work with Greg, he can probably get someone to finance it, but it may not be pretty.

Yeah it's gonna be butt ugly...but if you can rebuild your credit and still get the car then just refinance in a year or so...you'll have to pay out yer anus for a while.

25%... DAMN! Well, if that's what it takes for him to get into a car, he's gotta do it. Just take it in the shorts when it comes to payments, then after 6 months - 1 year. Refinance the car.
