Ok, so I wrecked my car, pretty sure it's totaled (it has frame damage). I don't want to repair it cuz it'll cost too much and I don't have that kind of money. Insurance won't cover the damages. Right now it's at the towing yard. What are some of my options? I don't want it to just sit there and collect storage fees. Could I try sell it for really cheap? Car is an '04 STi if it matters.

 

Your car is a perfect candidate for a part out to the bug eye guys. Get it back from the yard and part I all out. 3 grand alone for the transmission.

 

I'll may give you a 2001 Forester S for it.

For sure get it back. If you have a place to store it, Part it out. You can get quite a bit of money that way.

If you dont have a place to store it, just sell it complete for whatever you can get or trade it for something that runs and will get you around until you can buy another.

 

Thanks for the advice guy. I have no place to store it. My place tows idle vehicles after 48hrs believe it or not. I am not greatly mechanically inclined either, ie I can't take out the engine or transmission. I think I'll take your advice spin and try sell as whole. If you wanna check it out you can.
