My heart is broken. My life will no longer be the same

....but somehow, I'm not too down. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that Eric Clapton's 'Tears in Heaven' song was on which always gets to me.

Anyhow, compcheck shows....

All the rest were the same both WOT and closed throttle.
#2 - 80psi
#3 - 156psi
#4 - 172psi

Just to note, I didn't pull the cam and crank sensors. I pulled the ignition/airbag fuse. Also, for each test, I cranked 12 times.

I'm whoring on every forum where folks know me because I'm looking for sympathy.

I oughta just sell this mother****er for a huge loss and move on with my life.

Maybe a hobby in woodworking is more up my alley.

Thanks Wes.

We all know what can happen when we do what we do. Payin' to play is the reality. That aside, sorry to hear it Bro. Learning ain't always easy, eh?

Why would you have had to pull any sensors? The car didn't have any coil packs plugged in or any plugs in it so it really shouldn't have been a caes of making sure the car didn't start...

I'm fully accepting responsibility, but I just feel like venting. Sort of like playing mumbly peg and then cussing when you get stabbed.

I have no idea why those plugs are supposed to be pulled (I found an alternative of just pulling the fuse), but I saw it in 2 different places. I'm just a good soldier.

I may have a little dough coming, but I don't know when. I'm still debating on whether to park it and buy a beater with that money and then fixing the car as time goes on. That or I'll just send it off and drive my wife's SUV until I get it back.

I'm finding that my time is much more directed anymore. I'm usually working until 7 or 8 pm or so. Also, Kathy is becoming less and less tolerant of any time (or money) that I spend on my car. I'm all about standing up for my hobby, but she sees it as our route to the poor house and a robber of my time spent with her.

I can either stick to my guns because tooling on and racing cars is important to me, or I can toe-the-line. Cost benefit is showing signs that sticking up for my passion might end up robbing me of what's MOST important to me....my family. Why can't I have both?

Looks like #2 needs new rings....Do you know what caused it? And I guess this is where the blow by was coming from do you think that cylinder was starved for oil or what...

J,

I really have no idea. I know that I was having a big misfire problem (in each cylinder), but that only robs torque. I'm thinking that there's a chance that ecu response to the misfires was to pull fuel or something, although I never caught that in my logs.

I guess my only legitimate gripe is that I do have topoftheline monitoring gear and made full use of it. I never saw any symptoms in logs that would point to concern. The only symptom I ever had was the misfire and the blowby.

Ironically, the car runs fine. I've got it up on jackstands right now, all disassembled, but in the previous weeks when I drove it, it was still very powerful.

There goes my 11 second goal for next spring.

I'm trying to relegate my car obsession to the backburners and get back on track to try and get to where you're at. THE RIGHT PLACE. Good luck, Pat!
