My first shot at webhosting

Richard, is your server your own machine or do you upload all of your photos? Anything I need to be wary of? The 10 gigs of ?bandwidth? applies to how many times my webpages can be viewed as well.

Anyhow, it's probably WTLW, but it's a pretty good vid.

Right click/save as

Also, I'm curious as to how fast it d/l's for y'all. Since it's hosted by Yahoo, I'd imagine that it's probably a moot point.

i have found that unless you're hosting pr0n or videos, you don't really need more than 10gb of bandwidth. i'm operating off 5gb of bandwidth on my site and i'm pretty fine actually.

I'm not hosting off of my machine at home or work. I have an account at a remote webhost. I use up 30+ GB every month now.

P.S. Thanks for the vid!

Schweet!

I'm not trying to put anyone out of business, but this seems awfully useful. It's what I'm going to try and 'coach' Kathy on how to use it so that I can see vids of Sean.

Oh oops. I'm sorry. I was just testing, so I've already taken that file down. I'll put another one up.

Couldn't do the one I wanted to. I'm uploading some now.

Pat, I was downloading GIS4 - but was only getting 7.8kb/s and it's a 700mb file so I aborted. Thanks anyway though!

When I dl'd it, I had to try a few times and go away and leave it.

Here's GIS3 but it's the same server. It's not so hard to find, though.

Here are a few of mine that I've put up.

[deleted the files from my account.]

I'll only have these up for a day or so.
