My $75 project.

Of course, I've already spent $3xx on it so far for a new clutch and flywheel.

Clutch and flywheel should hopefully go in next week or so.

I'm going to start cutting off all of that rust after I get back from leave (JAN).

I've got a missing cv boot up front/right.

Tires are dry rotted. I think they're 13's.

Well, it isn't going to be an overnight project, because my first priority is building my WRX/STi engine. I also have a hyper single clutch that'll go in while I'm at it.

The Loyale engine will be the first to go, but I'm not as knowledgable about the GL/1800/Loyale as I am with the Impreza. This new car is a part-time 4wd, so I'm thinking I'm going to have to find the entire drivetrain from a WRX. I'm banking on the fact that the car weighs 2400lbs (and will weigh much less), so that hopefully the WRX drivetrain will be strong enough to hold a buttload of torque.

I'll definitely keep y'all posted as work occurs.

This is going to be a powerful beater from hell. Little 13" rims & tires. Little tiny struts and springs. I'm shooting for 2000lbs tops. EJ20 and if I get really bored, I'll take a blueprint to a welding shop and see if I couldn't have them fabricate me a couple of separate headers.

Who cares about rust. When rust gets so bad that it's potentially dangerous or threatens to eat up a whole 1/4 panel, then you cut it off and replace with sheet metal.
