Angry MP3s

I paid all this money for Napster songs (which were the cheapest i could find w/ regular high quality). I didnt want to cont to shell out the money for the music anymore so i disenrolled fm Napster and erased the prog. Now i come to find out that the only progs that can play the music are Winamp and the Napster prog. I really want to stuff these songs into my Ipod but Apple cant touch them due to the protection. I cant tell u enough how much it chaps my **** that there is music I PAID FOR that i cant use how i see fit. Does anyone know a way to remove the write protection fm these songs? I searched the net and the only solutions i found no longer work. The one that has to do w/ Winamp. I am out of solutions now. Any ideas guys?

I've got a tip for you. Here's a way to get some mp3s for free using google. It finds songs in other peoples' directories. Just do this search:

-inurl:htm -inurl:html intitle:"index of" mp3 ""

^^^copy and paste this into the google search.

- See the two sets of quotation marks at the end? type in either a song or artist you're searching for between them.

- A bunch of indexes will show up as a result of the search. Look through some of these indexes as they may contain the song file you're looking for.

- Left click and download. This way there is no need for a program to download and chances are these files aren't write-protected.

Thanks but i have been told about that method already and have been using it since i quit Napster. The question still remains thou due to the fact that i have about a gig of MP3s that i can only listen to on my crappy little computer speakers. Is there anyway to "remove" the write protection?

i have a way... dj's use a software called Soundforge to directly edit music...

it's like word proccessing with sound waves... you can then save it as any type of file you like..
maybe that way it might remove the write protect..

my AIM is DJWuan.. IM me for more info.. i wont have access to a computer until another week or so as i am currently in torronto.. i'll check back when i get back to the islands..
