air national guard here.
i've been lucky to be blessed with some much in these hard times. I love my job and not sure what id be doing if it wasnt for the military..
all in all i'm luvin it.

No....Not leaving. Im not in the military but my sister is and yesterday I just thought I would tell her thanks for all that she does. Then I decided to tell it to everyone on the forum. People really dont know what you guys do. Well any ways, thanks a lot for protecting this country!

basic tip that is the same for all branches: pay attention and just take it all in. for the most part im sure its gonna be cake. i dont know anything about navy's basic but air force was insanely easy.

i think people growing up in hawaii have the advantage..being how we are brought up...
i actually enjoyed basic training n didnt wanna leave..lol..my M.T.I (military training instructor) for you civilians was from hawaii..needless to say he gave me the GAS whole time..
i do wanna point out wow i lost about 20lbs n got really ripped..not bad for 6.5 weeks...
all in all i'm luvin the air force...should have joined right after high school..haha

It's the same as enlisted recruit training except tougher. Be sure to be in the peak of physical fitness. They look for reasons to drop candidates at OCS. Unlike the enlisted side, you are under no contract to finish. Dropping out of a run, failing a test...whatever it is. They seriously drop like flies. They're there to weed dirt bags out. On the enlisted side...(all my fellow enlisted men will know this) there's nothin a little "motivation" can't do to help someone.
