MEALS ON WHEELS! Sunday December 25, 2005 8:00 AM!
Meals on Wheels makes a Christmas appearance for the members of i-Club!
Basically the same thing as last year where we get a specific route of about 10-15 seniors to take prepared Christmas meals to. We're working the Kalihi Valley area again so it's really really really quick.
Meet at the Hungry Lion at 8:00 AM for breakfast and to receive all your stuffs.
There will be 3 routes that will be split between members of i-Club and the Honolulu Chinese Jaycees.
Normally, i-Club does Kuhio Park Terrace because it's all of 2 buildings and gets done the fastest.
Dress comfortably and don't wear nice clothes just in case you get sweaty.
Why should we do it? Because Christmas is about more then getting loads of gifts...think about all the seniors who don't have families or the means to get themselves to Christmas functions! We are their bright spot for the day!
SIGN UP HERE if you are going...I need your CELL PHONE NUMBER too so I can call you if you get lost.
MY NUMBER IS 384-4566

If you do the KPT route you get to see this new and AWESOME playground that was just built by community volunteers and partly led by staff at Aloha United Way...shameless plug...lol!
I hear it's the nicest playground on the island.

I can't believe no one has the heart to say they want to help. Hardly any of you will be working and you will still get home in time for lunch and presents.
Most of these folks are seniors and have NO FAMILY and NO ONE to be with during the holidays. Just imagine how you would feel.
Now imagine the joy in their eyes when they find out that someone cares.
