Maui Peeps..

I am thinking about taking my girl to Maui for a couple of nights...
Any suggestions on where to stay and what to do?

I suggest a bed and breakfast in Upcountry Maui. It's starting to get cool up here and it really feels like Christmas. You can do the beach stuff during the day and hang by a fireplace at night.

Get up in the higher elevations and experience the cold.

Upcountry is the area on the slopes of Haleakala.

Haleakala aka "the crater" is the dormant volcano on the island whose elevation is 10,500 feet above sea level.

Upcountry is at around 3000-4000 ft above sea level. Kula is the community at its highest elevation.

BTW it's 46 degrees this morning.

OK, so I got a B&B on Haleakala, and scheduled a trip to Molokini... any other suggestions as activities we can do while we are there?

Definitely see the sunrise from the summit of Haleakala. At this time of year it'll be pretty cold, maybe in the 30s with the windchill.

If there's a swell watch some waves on the north shore.
