Once the ferry is online, Maui SCCA welcomes racers from outer islands.

Our 2005 runoffs is this weekend (Sat.) and I'll be representing the Subaru community in Street Modified. I'll finally get to put my new suspension setup to the test.

Yes...I am J.'s bro.

Was it the 2005 or 2006 model ? that sucks getting your car messed with . Did it happen earlier in the day or afternoon ? That's a pretty high flowing traffic area .

Cool , finally got there in time to watch the maui scca . Ed your sti looks like it could tear-up that track . That rain killed it for me , coming of a cold . I was wondering did you guy's run the afternoon run ? Ed , how did you do ? That golf gti ran pretty good too . I 'll definately be there to watch next months scca events if I'm not working !

Ed , your car rocks on that track ! It was a blast riding in your car ! killer rush flying around that track . I didn't know sti's could drift . Hey , maui I-clubber's you gotta come down and check it out . One cool experience ! P.S. Ed there is no way I could drive my sti close to the way you were driving , all I can say is you're one talented driver !

The Mini Cooper-S got me by .79 of a second. Oh well... At least I don't have that much to make up. Keoki, our time during the first fun-run would have beating the Mini by over half a second. I guess, I need to push the car harder during competition.

As for drifting an AWD STi. It is possible. Ask Keoki. We got all 4 tires parallel drifting on the track and still got it under control.

SCCA Solo 2 driving is all about the driver - it's 90% driver and 10% car.

I want to encourage all Maui Subaru owners to drive at our Maui SCCA events to truly test your car control.

BTW, Keoki, you left your cap in my car. LMK when you can get it.

Aloha,

Ed
