So i noticed today my turbo was super loud. Doesnt sound like anything wrong but just louder when it spools up. Kinda hard to explain. Im just asking because yesterday it didnt sound that that. Sounds bad *** but is that something i should be concerned about?

 

like i said i really do thing your have a vf39 on there..... but have you added a intake or drop in filter? that will also do this

 

I do. We looked yesterday. Just a drop in filter but like i said it wasnt doing this until now. Again i dont mind but just wanna make sure the damn thing isnt going to explode

 

well a filter will make that noise with your turbo.... esp if under load. maybe you just didnt notice it b4 cause you werent looking for it?

Thats exactly why i posted the thread. Wife would kill me if my car took a dump. Took a ton of convincing to get this car and the future of convincing would go out the window if it crapped out on me so soon. So i could be trippin. Thanks all

 

Are there any other mods in your intake-exhaust tracts or on your engine? Anything at all...when you hear a weird noise, rule of thumb is check your mods first.

 

Yea I trip out because I used to own a Honda and I crashed from not tightening my lug nuts after a coilover install and I got traumatized after that. It was actually my friend who forgot to tighten it.

 

Maybe a small boost leak? Makes the sucking sound loud too.

vf39 turbo
Full borla exhaust
drop in k N filter
Some after market turbo hoses and such
