Looks like I'm gonna have to retire my STi for a while...

Just got my insurance policy renewal...

I got convited of street racing back in June... and even though I worked out a deal with the judge that it would be wiped from my record... that doesn't happen till Dec 2nd when I get off probation... so... yah...

Say hello to a $5,800/year premium...

Looks like I gotta go find a beater to drive around... and drop the insurance on my STi...

I guess I'll just have to run a rope between my car and a friends car and pretend to be towed out to race events...

HUMBUG...

Let this be a lesson to you kiddies... it costs way to much to get caught... keep it on the tracks...

MauiJammer- man, I would love to drive the roads there in Maui. I love Maui. Ulupalakua (spl?) Has my favorite road there. My wife literally cries when I drive it. She always says, that if it wasn't for my years in racing, we would die for sure..lol. I love Old Haleakala road to, the horses freak out... Of course, this is all WELL UNDER the posted speed limit as I do not condone speeding of any kind.

Man, I wonder if I flew up to Maui, someone would let me drive their car at an SCCA event.I always wanted to race an event on Maui....

I don't care...I really don't. Speeding is one thing...street racing is another. I speed...everyone does. Grandma in her Camry does 70 on H-1, but she doesn't street race. I don't feel bad for you. I'm happy that you aren't on the streets with an STi. All we need is another Nick Tudisco (for those of you who don't read the newspaper, he's the guy that killed that teacher while street racing in 2001), especially with an STi.

Not only were you caught by the cops, but you were CONVICTED of it. Shame on you guys who feel sorry for him. You guys that feel sorry or pity for him should be smacked upside the head. The words "convicted for street racing" could have been left out and you could have gotten all the condolences you needed. I'm not an angel, but I don't street race.

Nick Tudisco did...basically when you plead "No contest", you aren't admitting wrong, you just stop the defense from having to prove you are guilty. At the same time, you stati9ng your innocence either. Basically, you're saying you are guilty, but not really, just in hopes of getting a lesser sentence.
