sorry dude... I was busy all day. The spring compressor should be free any of those days but I work during the week and don't get off until after 5pm.

Unfortunately it's all the way in Kapolei.

Let me know when you actually plan on doing it and I can arrange to be there after 5pm M-F with the spring compressor

Jon

I guess he wanted to do it pretty early (9am). Didn't you get off work at like 5? We used old-school hand tools (adjustable wrench and the one that comes w/Subarus for the lugnuts). Spring compressors....not too bad. It took about 4 hours for the whole job. (probably about 2-3 had we discovered our shortcuts earlier on) Randy's car handles pretty nicely now and he also got rid of a lot of that wheel gap. I took pics. Will post up shortly.

Hey Jon, I heard traffic was insanely nuts. how long was the trip home?

I didn't go there after work since it would be silly to sit in all that traffic. I went to Ala Moana and there was still traffic there after they opened the freeway..

Glad to hear that everything went ok...

post them pictures up!

Jon

well the install went great...i started bright and early this morning at 8:30 (jacking up the car...poppin the wheels off...loosening various bolts...)...then josh and my lil cousin came and we started the fun stuff...had we found out earlier our shortcuts to installing springs we could have done them faster...and if we had better jacks (we were using the factory jacks...) it would have been faster...

anyway...the install went great...had some of my grandma's spam and fried rice and annorexic chicken and pancit (its noodles...for thse of you who are not familiar with pancit) for lunch...

well...after my car we tried to change out the springs on josh's forester...we had to abort mission due to the 05 strut bolt being a bastard....

anyway the car handles great...ride feels stock...but when you need to do some agressive driving it gets me through turns quite well...progress springs are great...

mucho thanks to josh and my lil cousin for the help...couldnt have done it w/out u guys...thanks josh for taking pics...

note to self: get air tools, floor jacks, and jack stands...makes work a lot easier...
