the 711 has a higher tread wear rating(supposed to last longer, ... less 'grip') and a lesser Speed Rating than the 712.
I've never used either of them though, ... so I can't say how each performs. But for the price, and if you don't plan on autoxing, I'm sure they'd be fine.

i think they would be ok for autox, ... meaning that they would stay on your rim!

I have the 712 and have had no problem with them I can say I have had bad experience with other tires like I was telling NoLimit the Falkens I had were OK in the wet but as far as the Dry they F-ing sucked I went from those to Proxies FZ4 and they were better in the dry but in the wet they sucked I have drove a couple different cars with the Kumho 712 and am happy with them only because they work for me some people might not like them though...But for the money to performance ratio I think they are hands above the rest only my $.02 though.
