Where's Motomech? I'm sure his Foresters could get further than any of us can, ha ha.
Mine's pretty much useless offroad now, but this Saturday, I'm venturing into the sand on the westside of Kauai. Don't worry, I have several friends w/4x4s to pull me out just in case.
I've heard of Outbacks and old school Subie Wagons doing well offroad. Foresters are a lot more capable offroad than the platform suggests.

Share the love! when/how to you do pinapple fields? I stare at all those lovely red dirt roads and they make me want to cry! i don't wanna get busted for trespassing or some BS.

Kaena Point is not very car friendly. The road has deteriorated a lot in the past few years. I used to frequent the area to go fishing (in a truck). It would make a good hike to walk around the point. Pretty cool when you turn the corner and can see the Waianae coastline.
