JDM PSP owners...

Make sure you update your operating system software.

http://psp.ign.com/articles/598/598454p1.html?fromint=1

1. Turn on JDM PSP (without game installed)
2. Go to the Settings > Network Update (you need some sort of wireless connection to do this though)
3. It will connect to the server (if you have the network settings right)
4. It will start to download (14MB) to your Memory Stick Duo/Duo Pro
5. It will then ask you if you want to apply the update now or later.
6. If you choose now then you push the circle if later then you need to go to Game > Memory Stick > PSP Update ver 1.50

Note: If your battery is to low then it will not allow you to update the software for some reason.

that sounds like a failsafe feature where it will keep the system from accidentally shutting down while upgrading which may cause corupt data....

JDM PSP has English and will play ANY REGION GAMES... but WILL NOT play US Video Discs and will ONLY play Region 2 Video Discs

JDM games that have english in them (voice or text) will be displayed in english but things in Japanese will display in Japanese

Yo, with those winnings... I think you should wipe out the entire PSP supply on Oahu and sell it at a higher price. Haha.

it is not hype. it is a ps2 with a screen that rivals the portable media centers(~400) for way less money and yet does more things.

it will make the flights and wait time to vegas trips seem way shorter. that is why i got a jdm one, to use back then for flights. i probably wouldn't recommend trying the wireless feature with other people while in the air though until they test it.

True!

however since it's got i-link I'm sure that they could make an i-link multiplayer cable but not for 16 though

i would be disappointed with the selection of games avail at this moment, not with how they play as look and mostly play the same as on the ps2. the games i enjoy so far are hot shots golf(the best) and ridge racer(second). i have need for speed and darkstalkers too, but do not like them. i am disappointed at the game makers if anything as they didn't believe sony would put out a product like this so they jumped on later in the game after they saw the real deal. honestly, who is going to ever use a gameboy ds again. (actually i will for mariokart and advance wars ds, but that is it)
