Some of us originally were Mitsu (Eclipse and GSX) owners before going Subie,..

Bro dont trip about the subie. U have a nice new car on your hands. Now all we care about here on I-club is that you dont turn into one of those "Im better than you cuz i own a Evo" guys.

JUST STAY COOL MAN!!

the only thing i will hate on suby for is the way they could have run away with the competition with the 08/09 but slacked off and went with such a "friendly" less offensive car.

they were asking 40 for the evo but eventually i walked out financing 36. they had insane amounts of markup but nobodys buying cars right now so they just wanted to move this car already.

i swear i wont get an evo attitude. honestly i might subconciously think im better than all the evo guys cuz i came from such a ballin *** car already and in terms of performance other than handling this is a step down.

haha last night i saw somebody on an evo forum hatin on the flat 4... its an agreed upon fact that the boxer engine is amazing. its science.

ive never used any kind of boost controller so i gotta read up on that stuff. and i kinda wanna wait til cobb puts out the AP for Evo's i heard its sposed to be out before christmas so i got time to save up. cant wait to put down some power on this thing. there is absolutely NO low end torque... painful

it feels very good actually. i thought i was gonna be dissapointed on the test drive coming from my sti but i was pretty impressed. the suspension isnt harsh at all but very composed when it needs to be. once the turbo kicks in at about 3k it pulls pretty nicely. the only thing i would want to improve on immediately would be the low end, try to get that turbo spooled quicker and lower it cuz its a big enough car as it is i dont wanna sit so high. go check one out man theyre not that bad.

don't waste your money on the AP. check out 555motorsports.net he does open source tuning for evo's also. you can get all your tuning done for like less than $350 over the internet. The $350 will include a tactrix cable and tuning for a month unless your map is perfected in less. before you do this i recommend you atleast get a boost controller and turbo back exhaust.

i'm suprised you didn't enjoy the low end as much as i did, with the tubo being twin scroll and all. then again i do have the MR and thing shifts quiker than anything i have seen yet. hmmmmmto bad i am not at home i would like to take your car for a spin to see the difference in the the GSR vs the MR. anyhow good luck and keep me posted on how all your modding goes.

AP for a EVO is a NO NO. open source all the way for the evo guys i can show you a few evo's running faster times then any suby on this island that has time slips and the evo guys are less modded. ( think we have a few subys now that would have some nice #'s but you need to go to maui first )

congrats on your purchase.

follow the link below and go to the link that is at the end of post #1. it will point you in the right direction of software and hardware you will need.

https://www.i-club.com/forums/showth...&highlight=555

it all seems intimadating in the begining but it is actually simple stuff to do.
