full bumpers $1075 w/ V.1 skirts or $1125 w/ V.2 skirts
front/rear lip spoilers $825 w/ V.1 skirts or $860 w/ V.2 skirts
...and include this as one of the full kits required to fulfill the GB minimum of 4 full kits. If we can't reach the GB minimum and you still want this kit, we'll still offer a discounted price off of what I listed as an introductory sale. If the group buy fails I will work out sale pricing.
All Chargespeed kits are made to JDM spec, so if the JDM reinforcement beam is different from US-spec, and I'm assuming so because they always are, you prolly would need to run a JDM/aftermarket (is there one available?) re-bar or use none at all (not recommended). I am not sure if the kit can be modified to fit the US-spec re-bar, but I will ask Chargespeed USA about this and get a firm answer for you.

Unfortunately shipping is not included in the group buy prices listed in this thread. We're trying to work out the most affordable way to ship these down here for you guys, and will post details as soon as we have some solid figures. A bulk order should mean savings for buyers too.
We had a talk with Chargespeed by phone last week regarding pricing of their kits and why there is such a huge discrepency between what they SHOULD sell for and what they DO sell for. Altho the prices ppl might see here are a little unrealistic compared to prices you may have seen on the net elsewhere , these are nonetheless legitimate figures that we will honor through this GB. This however will be a one-time chance to get prices this low.
Errr, also we are not a vendor here on i-club so this is strictly for Hawaii members only please.

Well, we could do the same type of group buy with a mainland company. If you want the busines, the prices are great, but you should rethink the idea of the shipping costs. Shipping these to Hawaii, regardless of the GB price, would kill the idea of a GB.

1) Using our own shipping account
2) Discounted shipping from distributor as a retailer
3) Bulk shipping a large order
Altho many mainland companies inflate shipping costs, we pass whatever savings there are to be had by charging our customers exactly what it costs us to ship. We can't eat the shipping costs ourselves, but we try to do whatever we can to help. We are indeed trying to find the most affordable way to do this, which is why we haven't posted any details yet -- but really we don't expect there to be a huge figure.
In order to offer free shipping, I'd have to at the very least double group buy requirements or possibly more. We figured that trying to set a goal like that would be very unrealistic.
We're using this GB as an indicator as to whether or not there is enough interest in these kits for us to bother carrying the Chargespeed line here in Hawaii, or to just leave it for the big boys in the mainland. Instead of just jumping into it and buying a big bulk of whatever Chargespeed carries and hoping ppl would want it, we decided to run a GB at near cost for this initial order to help both the i-club community get a great deal and accomplish our buy-in at low risk. This isn't really a money making issue for us.
I fully understand the angle you're looking at it from, but if even these group buy prices are unattractive to local owners because for some reason you can get it cheaper with free shipping from the mainland, then that's a bad sign for us. Looking at the retail pricing structure from Chargespeed USA, I just don't see how it's possible at all to fit free shipping in there with these prices. I mean literally, I'd have to pay you to buy it at this point if I tried to do that.
To expect free shipping is to make the assumption that we're getting these kits dirt cheap and that this group buy has left a big profit margin. Altho I cannot discuss the cost vs. retail pricing structure, I assure you that's not the case here. For that matter, I already know of at least one of our own customers who's paid nearly twice what we've posted here for theirs.
I myself have been a consumer since I built my first car in the early 90's, and only now am I looking at it from the other side of the table. Believe me I understand the idea of trying to get parts through the most affordable route possible. If there's a mainland company that will offer a cheaper deal shipped to members here than we would, then by all means I understand if ppl should choose to go that way. But from our side, I've done absolutely all I can.

UPDATE ON SHIPPING:
We finally have our account moving with our freight forwarder, Steven's Air. Right now we're busy trying to finalize a solid shipping figure for buyers interested in this group buy, but things look really good so far. For bulky items, they charge us by dimensional weight, so what we did just to get an idea of what we're looking at was take a box that our Japan exporter used to ship us 3 full bumper bodykits, an FRP rear hatch, and wing and measured the dimensional weight of that box (actual item weight is not a factor with large bulk items when measuring dimensional weight) and took a look at the rate we'd be looking at.
For that entire box, we'd be looking at approx $350 to ship - and there was room for more kits in there than what they sent. We're guessing that we could fit enough kits in that box that would meet the minimum group buy requirements.
Again, we're still working on details between Chargespeed USA and Steven's Air, but things look really good so far. Things do depend on how Chargespeed packs kits for shipping tho, and we have to await word on that - but if they can pack a big box (or two) with everything we need and group buy participants split the shipping, the rates look VERY affordable!
As soon as we have it all worked out I'll post more details, but so far so good!

SHIPPING UPDATE PART II:
Ok, we've talked more with Chargespeed about shipping. From what we've been told, Chargespeed can fit 2-3 full bodykits per box -- on most occasions. Basically 2 full bumper kits per box, maybe 3 full lip kits per box. Any more than that and we risk damage to the kits during shipping.
For the full bumper kits, we're looking at $150 shipping per kit with this group buy. For those interested in individual parts (bumpers, hoods, etc) pricing would depend on how much interest there is and we can determine that later. Pricing should be good tho (less than the full kit of course).
We need to do our order soon, so this group buy will be ending on January 31st. Either post here or send us interest at info@munkywurks.com if you'd like to join.
