install question

ok so im doin the turbo swap this weekend and i know you should have a fresh oil change when you do it. its time for an oil change anyway so is it ok to do the change now or do i need to flush the system when i do the swap anyway? also i've read that you should use conventional oil to break in the turbo and i usually use synthetic so i need to know what to buy. what is the benifit to using conventional for a break in? does it lubricate the seals better or something? thanks for the help
