PM me with directions too, please. I might swing by, although for somewhat selfish reasons - I'm still looking to test fit one of my Volk auto-x wheels on the front of a WRX to see if the bigger brakes will fit. Of course I'll pitch in and help while I'm there, too, been through the suspension install about 8 or 9 times on the Legacy.

Thanks everyone for coming! It was a pretty productive day. Everyone seemed to enjoy their views of the local MILFs on my street.

Hmm...Need a hand? I'll be free about then. I don't know much about CV boots, but I'll do what I can to help out. Always down to learn stuff.

Did the front right boot actually get cut when the strut caught it? I took a look at it after we got the strut out and didn't think it had split, but maybe I didn't look closely enough. That sucks, man. Unfortunately, as I said when I left, I'm heading back out to sea, so I can't help you. I replaced a CV axle on the Legacy earlier this summer, wasn't too hard at all. Honestly, you might be better off just replacing the whole axle - it'll probably save you time, and the boots come pre-loaded with grease and all sealed up ready to install. If you replace just the boot, you're going to have to pull the whole CV axle anyway to get the new boot on, and then you gotta get all messy with the grease.
Of course, doing the whole axle will cost more - I think the reman one I got from NAPA was around $90 or so after I got my core deposit back by returning the bad one.
Anyway, good hanging out with everyone today...
