Injectors

Anybody know how the new 05 STI injectors look like? Are they still pink? And are they still at 550cc? Pictures would be cool.

i know...

they should be the same ones as the 04 sti.

they are side feed injectors

yellow in color

480cc (same as top fed 550 sti injector flow)

are not interchangeable between the sti pinks

can use sr20det upgraded inejctors

Sure you can if you also run a STI fuel rail and lines....The USDM STI never had the pink injectors they were a JDM item.

Your WRX has TOPfeed injectors the US STi injectors are SIDEfeed. Side feed injectors will not fit a top feed fuel rail. Not sure if the fuel lines would work.

So would you recommend me convert it to a sidefeed? i've checked the topfeed injectors and there aren't much.

first of all before the questions keep coming in from you skyknight... stop right there and post

1. what the purpose of your thread is so that we know what direction you're going
2. why do you want to upgrade/thinking of upgrading...
3. what car do you have and what injectors are you planning on using.

if you have an 05 STI then the injectors are exactly what I posted they are not pink they are yellow (side feed injectors)

the fuel rail on the WRX is for a TOP fed injector and are 100% different than the STI ones. it would serve no purpose for you to change your fuel rails/lines...etc. to accomidate a STI side fed injector since there are multiple companies out there that make injectors for a WRX (provided you have one and not an STI)

just so you know that if you plan on upgrading your injectors you'll have to definately upgrade your engine management system to accomidate the flow difference from stock. you may (as a good idea and probably recommended) upgrade your fuel pump. you do NOT have to upgrade your stock fuel rails since they are more than enough for what you'll probably doing/not doing with your car.

Well my plans were to do a upgrade on my turbo, injectors, and fuel pump. I have a 02 WRX and so far i got the fuel pump and injectors. I just bought the 05 STI injectors by mistake. I guess i can't use em. I'll just sell em and get the right one this time. Hey thanks for everybody's 2 cents.
