Pat, I've ordered quite a few parts from Josh @ IIR. No complaints for the different set of parts I've placed/received thru him. Pretty straight forward and had the best prices at the time, considering, of course, he's always willing to negotiate.

1) They were out of inventory for items the online store indicated "in stock" status and kept pushing back/being uncertain as to when they will get more.
2) What Brfatal said, I wanted to purchase more brand name items, but they tried steering me towards their cheaper knock offs (Gimmick?) that they "exclusively" import.
Neither is really out of the ordinary. Their communications were fine and professional, but I didn't want to deviate from my original choices so I went elsewhere.

Sorry, to clarify what I said. He sells a lot of parts, both complete junk and reputable brand name. My issue is that it's the junk parts that get him higher returns on margin are what he pushes. Every FS thread hes posts on forums for specific products are ALWAYS crap parts. He often advertises parts for cars that don't even fit (very well or at all) on the cars being advertised for. If I personally were a vendor, on matter of principle I would never outwardly sell any product I would not be willing to put on my own car. Doing so, and actively pushing those products is INCREDIBLY shady IMHO and a disservice to customers who don't know better.

Thanks for the input guys...my experience with them is sorry to say negative and NEVER AGAIN! Ordered a timing belt kit last month on feb 28th...and no confirmation of any sort...just a charge on my credit card...maybe my order got lost in the wood work...idk but communication was lacking with these guys...which resulted for me to dispute the charge on my card for something I didn't receive...
i have had good and bad experience with IIR. If you go straight through Josh its normally not a problem. but with most any companies that size, you will have your mistakes here and there.
That being said, there are only 2 main online retailers of our parts that can be depended on... IIR and rallysportdirect. In my experience over the past 6-7 years its a give and take. IIR normally has the better price and bc I'm in California I don't get charged sales tax.
On the other hand I feel like when I talk to someone from Rallysport, they always have a solid answer and a lot of knowledge when it comes to builds and miniscule differences between the various products they sell. Keep in mind that IIR and Rallysport don't carry all the same product lines and brands, so sometimes you're forced to go with one over the other.
I understand if you get burned once you really don't wanna get burned again by the same company, but sometimes when our choices are limited like in this situation, just gonna have to decide on rolling the dice or trying to find your stuff on ebay or unaccredited companies online.
Just a side note for people complaining about Josh pushing cheap/garbage parts on people... in the end you decide what you want. if you do your homework and make an educated decision based upon reading reviews, asking friends or hell even ask reps @ rallysport what they recommend, it shouldn't be a problem. If you're worried about getting a part that has fitment problems... then don't be cheap and spend the extra 20-40 dollars on a part that the majority of people have agreed is legit.
