I'm pulling my motor

Anybody want to keep me company? It will be around 1430 hours tomorrow at Mapunapuna. It should take me between 30 mins to an hour. You don't need to get your hands dirty, I'd just like some company.

Please PM me your number and I'll respond by tomorrow afternoon (1130 hours).

Mahalos,
Chris

Hey, howzit Sean! Once again, thanks for your help. Sorry I can't return your call at the moment. I've been slacking too much at work and I now leave my cell in the car to eliminate the chance of my boss catching me slack. I'm actually not supposed to be surfing the net, but oh well.

I'm pulling the motor because the shop that has my car is not confident in doing it themselves.

Thanks for the offer, Jon. I'll have your harness too while I'm at it.

As for the shop, they do fabulous body work. It's just unfortunate that they haven't had previous experience with a suby motor. I have little personal time to myself and working on my car is the last thing I want to do right now.

However, I can't complain, I did request the shop to do some fabrication that requires more than traditional bolt-on work and they did agree to help me out. I greatly appreciate them for that along with the loaner car that they lent me for free.

I swear I've seen someone charging an insane price for doing this.

I vote that you should be paid for the time and effort you spend on this. LMK how much I owe you.

Just a word on the injectors. I'm now 'tuned' to 11.1:1 to 11.2:1 and I'm seeing all 99-"---.--" IDC's. (---.-- is what the UTEC registers when the IDCs are 100% or above.

Something's not like it ought to be.

How long does it take you to completely pull and re-install an engine completely?

Sorry Pat, I didn't give details. Last I seen my car, the hood, fenders, etc.., were off. Half the work is already done. I just need to remove the lines, wires, and a few other sutff before the motor comes out.

It would take me the entire day, if not two, to remove, tear down, reassemble, and re-install a motor. Approximately 12-16 hours.

I wasn't given a date, but I'm hoping that it'll be done by the end of the month.
