i swear, tonight was not my night. i was on my way to town, driving speed limit, and i see these headlights in my rear view mirror. so im like whatever, thinking that hes just in a rush or something. i notice that everyone else around me is driving speed limit also. so then theres finally enough room for him to switch and so he does. then he has the nerve to pace next to me and rev me out. so i was like ****! i know you drive hemi ram, and yeah i know its fast, you idiot. that doesnt mean im gonna race you, ***. then he proceeds to speeds up, then slow down to wait for me to follow him. he takes the halawa cutoff, but i decide to go the other way to avoid conflict. then 2 mins later a riced out focus cuts me off, and paces me again. that just set it off, i swear i had flames coming out of my nostrils. so i speed up *shame on me* and i look at the driver, and its a freakin girl! with her boy in the passenger seat. im like a "f" it already, not worth it. i swear someones about to get a bat to face and car!

 

damn...it was just one of those crappy days, huh?

 

I had a idot encounter today driving along minding my own business BS'ing with my friend in the car doing the speed limit when we get cut off by this asshat in a toreass, So he happens to be going the same way as me to base I get next to him at the gate I ask him if he likes to cut people off he says sometimes and the cop looks at me like what ever my friend said to follow him and when he stops see if he wants to run his mouth then but I said he is just jealous he has to drive that piece of ****....And we went on our way.. Plus I told my friend we'll see him again hopefully off base then he won't be such a smart azz easy for him to run his mouth when he knew we weren't going to do anything in front of the SP's..I hate stupid people it seems the worst are other military sad to say. I have been here over two years and all I heard before I got here that local people don't like people from the mainland I tell poeple I have had no problems I only have problems with other military and I have been in a while and this place is the worst.....Sorry wanted to vent...

 

Time to sell the car and buy myself a minivan or something, the scene is just ridiculous now.

attn: 02-03 white debaged except wrx emblems, license plate ndz 725?, you had a passenger wearing a foot locker shirt. you cut me off in the ala moana parking lot tonight (thursday). please slow down and look before you turn!!! if didnt mash my brakes in, you and your drivers side door would be eating dads 4runner. im not mad or anything, just concerned about pedestrians and innocent by standards. i noticed that you were speeding and cutting in and out on the streets. so please try to slow down. its not worth hitting something or someone.

Not to rain on your parade, but there are worse places to be. I am in Kentuckiana (south of Louisville) right now, and there is NO car scene. I miss seeing all the S2K's, WRX's, RX-8's, Porsches, G35 Coupes, etc. There is one STi on post (no mods) and one other WRX (big window sticker in case you didn't know it was a subaru ). There are 2 Evo-8's and that is about it.

As far as I can tell I have the only performance mods other than a couple of cars with bling and fart cans (I can see the 1 1/4 inch exhaust leading up to the exhaust).

Granted, I do NOT miss getting revved on/challenged/cut off/paced/etc. but I miss seeing fellow enthusiasts on a regular basis.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I actually miss Hawaii (the car scene, at least). This is coming from the guy who couldn't WAIT to get off the island and back to the mainland.

It's wierd being the "veteran" of the local chapter. The guy who started the club buts in on my thread telling me he's correcting the info in my post, only to be proved wrong later.. blah blah blah. It's not near as fun as Hawaii. I miss you guys. Everyone out here is all talk and no action.
