Just figured I'd share some pictures of todays work in fabricating intercooler piping.







Just a few more hours of cuting pipes and welding and she'll be ready.

How much time have you put into all the work so far?

 

three days so far about 4-5 hours a day.
That includes cutting the bumper and body and all that stuff.

 

Where did you buy the pipes? Are they aluminium? Are you doing the welding? Can I help? I need to learn how to weld aluminium.

nah, they're standard aluminized steel exhaust piping. I'm going to paint them when it's all over. It'll be ugly, I promise.

I'm doing it tomorrow at noon until 2pm. Then from 5-7

 

it's all mandrel bent piping though to limit restriction!!
