Nice rims, but arent' they faulty? I read that somewhere and I would expect more from such expensive rims

HRE's are hot. at the auto show in ny, they stick them on a lot of the upcoming US cars(vettes, stangs, even the then upcoming bonneville)

Yep, I'm thinking of getting a set of the Mach Vs for my 951.

BTW, CCWs are also pretty nice looking and I believe they're a lot more affordable than HREs or Fikses.

i love these rims too.

alot of race teams are using them in the rolex american le mans series.

HRE's have failed on the track, but the most recent article about HRE"s failing is a misconstrued account. The wheels in question are Kinesis which are known to be racing wheels.

Truth is, all wheels will fail under the proper cisrcumstances. Enough weight, enough power, enough cornering grip...something is bound to give.

The way I look at it is, it's far too expensive to go racing on HRE's, iForged, Asanti's, etc...that's why you pimp a dedicated set of racing wheels, like CCW's. The only wheels I haven't personally seen fail are BBS, and OZ. I'm sure if I dug deep enough, I'd find that as well too.
