I agree they can't drive. Totally. However, I get worse gas mileage than most of them do. I'm getting 18-19mpg, so pollution-wise, I'm just as bad.

I still get about 23 mpg with mine. Not too bad considering the performance on tap.
My stang only got about 12 mpg

Dunno about the mileage. Always get bad mileage. Must be the lead foot. Even when I CONCENTRATE on keeping it under 3,000RPM I'm only getting 20-21. Apparently it doesn't matter if you keep it under 3K if you're in a hurry to get there. I've just always assumed I'm a little more aggressive... otherwise I don't know why.

Mileage vs Polution

Low gas mileage does not equate to high polution (at least not directly). A car with lower miles per gallon can put out fewer polutants. Small 4 Cylinder engines are typically cleaner. Turbo charged cars are typically dirtier. Large engines (V8) tend to be the dirtiest.

So, your WRX is probably not as dirty as an SUV, primarily due to the fact that SUVs (and other trucks) don't have to obey the same polution laws. The WRX is certainly dirtier than a Nissan Sentra SE-R SPEC V (Mainly due to the turbo) but not any truck that I know of.

In case you were wondering.
