from visitors from out of state...usually in rental cars (convertibles)...probably I-Club or NASIOC guys from out of town is my guess...

i usually get a thumbs up or something like "burn rubbah!". or some people give me a twirl of the finger motioning for me to spin my wheels. naieve or not.. a lil flattering.
paperboys always ask me the same thing..except last week a kid comes up to me.. and says "want a free newspaper?". i'm like "you sure?" after handing me the paper he says "but we take donations"

I had a couple of brothers standing by ABC store on Hobron as I was waiting to make the right, tell me "Das a tight ride man.". I said thanks and drove off. Another time a lifted truck pulled up next to me at a stop light. The local guy in the passengers seat, he told me "Ho, mean yo car!" and gave me the shaka. I thanked him and gave a shaka back.

greg, get used to aiea... they give awat free newspaper cuz they need to get rid of them before they are done.. they dont care if they have to cough up the money.. actually, daily paper is only 25 cents and thats the one im talking about. the kid said take it, he needs to get rid of it.

i always get a thumbs up from domestic drivers..... cuz our cars has that distinct sound like a V8. so i give those guys alot of props..... but most import drivers are cool but that one red integra(this one is for you f*cker!!!!

drivin down into waikiki droppin some guys off and this evo pulls next to me...the chick in teh passenger seat is hot and im starin at her and shes starin at me...so then i think hey, im lost, lets ask for directions..so i did and she says "i love your car, its sooo sexy!" and i tell her that yes, it is, and so is she and so am i. her BF didnt appreciate it and took off...had to laugh.

I get alot of finger pointing ("hey look at that!") form intermediate kids and down. I guess because of video games, more and more kids are finding out that the WRX/STi are one of the hot cars to drive, along with the EVOs, Skylines, Supras, and RX7s. The older kids in my neighborhood usually ask what kind of car is it or to the all too familiar "sample!!"

this is a cool thread, long time ago i was creeping at a red light and this truck with a man in his 30's said to me, ho cuz your car sound good(local guy), so then i said thanks bra!!!
and today while reversing at Kaiser hospital this caucasian lady lets me go to reverse park and she yells out nice car, and guess what she had a Subaru Baja and i said the same back to her...
