I just got back from Washington DC...
... and I saw exactly one STi while I was there, no WRX's, no wagons, nothing. I would think that a place like that, where there are wide open freeways outside the city, parking is a problem and where it snows once in a while, a hot, compact, AWD car would be the ticket. A coworker thought that maybe they don't like foreign cars in DC, but the mix is similar to here as DC is a very cosmopolitan city. Just no subies <shrug>.
Parking is a problem there that's why...that plus people use the subway/light rail a lot.
I love D.C.
You're just more used to the huge amount of Subaru's in Hawaii.

hehe, I am here right now
yeah I lived in DC for 12 years, any where inside the beltway is more of a BMW or VW city. You don't see many Subarus until you get into the Annapolis/ Ocean City areas.
*sigh* the roads here are so well maintained.

Well, there are more subbies in NoVA, but as for D.C. and outlaying areas, much more luxury cars around. Due to high population of Koreans, I seen a lot of Mercs and BMW's.
