Yep! Bremerton Dodge, in Bremerton Washington. I test drove, went in & sat down for negotiations. The lady was real nice, then she brought out the "pink sheet of death"
The price on it said 25,999. That was WITHOUT tax, title & license. I told her MSRP was 19,999...I'll take it for 21,500 out the door. She didn't like that, told me how it was "limited edition", and only "7000 of these will ever be made". I laughed, walked out, & bought my WRX 2 days later!

Wow - Got mine last April from Dillingham for 23.5 out the door with 3/36 pre-paid service contract, tax, lisc., etc. I also have an extended warranty. They had a 5K markup for the car - I refused to pay that much so haggling was required.
About 12 of these cars were alloted in 2003 over here with the first ones arriving here last April. I think that Pearl City has/had the highest markup and the Big Island has/had the lowest markup.
Honestly, I was a bit surprised that I was able to haggle. I've heard/read about many horror storys of dealerships & salesmen who won't budge. That's probably because there are some knuckleheads out there who are willing to pay with no questions asked.

I guess they were getting pressure to sell off their 2003 models...if they still had 2003's, they won't get 2004 models in...at least that's my guess.
They should have been selling EVO VIII's at MSRP from the beginning. I'm sure there would be more Evos on island than STi's if that was the case...morons...

Drove through Pearl City about two weeks ago, the had a yellow EVO raised up on display outside with "Sale - $36.000" on the windshield of it.
I remember when they first came out. I went down there to take a look. They had one in the showroom for 39K. (OUCH!) I can't remember what the MSRP on those things are.
Now what's up with Kaneohe Subaru? I went to look at an STi last year. They had a nice blue one, but they jacked it up to 38K. The car had over 60 miles on it. I could not believe it. Salesmen must have been trying to keep it for themselve's to drive around in!

umm, dude i was joking- making a sarcastic joke at myself!!
i am trying to get my dealership to understand the fact that we are the only dealer on oahu w/ a mark up. . . the reality of the fact is most sti shoppers know what they want and what they'll pay for it. i practically gave away three stis this past weekend hoping they will bring me referrals
