hey russ, don't forget joey and fran both got to abuse...i mean drive dave's boosted Sti back in september? i kinda remember that event because my times weren't jiving correctly. b
Hehe! Yeah Barry, I vaguely remember that...
I want to see Joey after about 3 or 4 races...when he has had a chance to "dial in" the car as his new "Ditch-*****"! Muaaahaahaahaa!
Then MAYBE an STI will beat me & my lowly WRX...

I thought I was going to have to bring my big guns out.....well.....................I'll give you a little taste any way.
"Auto-X = maybe peak 60mph for maybe 1 minute.
Trackdays = at lest peak 120mph for 10 or more minutes.
Both are fun as hell, both require a great amount of skill, but one has much less room for mistakes."

If that sounds like a challenge...well..it is!

i am gonna jump back to and finish ESP already, get a couple of runs and then maybe jump to SM if a certain mod materializes and puts me there.
no track day for me because i don't trust my leadfoot or a car not prepared (safety wise). well, maybe the 240 soon..but i already caught air.. plus my sti's brakes fade at autox. what would happen at a full track..

And I think I know what mod you're talking about Barry!

I think both events leave little room for mistakes, but track mistakes tend to be more damaging and potentially fatal.
They both required extreme focus and help teach driving skills with autox pushing you harder on the car control side whereas track time tends to push you to be consistant in your driving.
Both are fun, but I enjoy autox more because it provides a yardstick (timing) to help you determine if you are improving.
BTW, what's this mod you guys are talking about?

Hmm, maybe I should invest in those V700s for ESP next year.

R compounds on an STI sound killer! STIs should take over ESP this year just like WRXs did 2 years ago! Come and get it boys!
Don't let an old WRX guy on stock suspension stop you...hehehe! I'm only playing!
It's funny that on the "overall", we're all chasing a damn Legacy GT! hahaha!Umm...sorry to hijack your thread Joe...and it all started when I complemented your driving skills...
