It was worth a shot, guess I'm going to be chatting with a bunch of Japanese people tomorrow then!

Well some of the military guys usually run it...maybe someone on here will be in there with you.

I used to volunteer for the marathon first at the water stations in Aina Haina and most recently at the start area at Magic Island / Ala Moana Beach Park where they let people off the bus to walk to the street. Pretty crazy how many people use the porta-potties.

Even for all the pre races there are lines at those portapotties 50-100 people long.. I can only imagine how many there will be at an event with 22,000 people participating!

Well I can tell you it is GROSS AS HELL even just midway through. We don't even check them after the runners start coming...we basically just put 10 rolls of TP and hope for the best.

But the serious runners just pee their pants in the race anyways.

They drop 1's and 2's if they're serious, there is no line to cross when you are in it to win it! I had to use one of those toilets before the start, let's just say I was disturbed.

Finished in 4:48:30!

Hey, with a $40k payday for first place. If I was a contender, I'd do it too.
