Unhappy hmm is this suppose to happen???

so i put in my coilovers on saturday.. but when i jacked up the back, i went to get a drink and came back 5 mins later, and found that all my transmission fluid leaked out.. after i put in the rear coilovers i lowered it back down and put in 2 bottles of transmission fluid and i think it seems to be ok now..i hope.

has this happened to anyone else??

NO it's not supposed to happen.

The coilovers have nothing to do with your transmission. Since you stated "but when i jacked up the back..." sounds like you did front then rear.

How high did you jack up the rear since the only way that trans fluid can leak out is if it's over filled to begin with. Due to the angle of the car when it was jacked up the fluid was able to drip from the dip stick area. But even that is pretty hard to do though.

What type of car do you drive? STI or WRX?

im pretty sure it was the trans fluid cause when i checked the dipstick it was dry. i couldnt really see where it was leaking from cause it was below the topmount intercooler. i did jack it up pretty high and plus the front was already lowered cause i did that first. but im not sure why there would be a random hole somewhere i barely drive it.

I'm pretty sure it leaked out as you took the pressure off the seals from you axles. I've seen it happen before. Should be dif. fluid.

^^what i was thinking but in just doing coilovers i have never had that happen. i've done a few sets and never had anything leak from anywhere. you may want to check your front diff fluid to be on the safe side and for sure jack the car back up and find where it was leaking from.
