Hit And Run Victim's Family Needs Your Help! - Help us find the criminal responsible!
This is from Rella, and I'm re-posting it around the forums to try and find the criminal who committed such a senseless act. Mahalo. - Mike K.
****PLEASE REPOST****
First of all, thank you so much to all of you who have expressed your condolences, lit candles and made donations to help with my uncles services.
For those of you who dont know, on Monday December 29th, My Uncle Lindsay Kane was struck by a hit and run vehicle while riding his Harley Davidson around 3:20 PM. He later died that evening. My uncle was a great man. He was the youngest of seven children; loved fishing; loved family; loved life. There's not ONE person that disliked him. Lindsay Kane was a man that would help anyone in need, friend or foe. But on the afternoon of December 29th, the driver of the pick up truck, didnt bother to stop.
The suspected driver is identified as Siaosi Apakei Feleunga. He's also known as George or one eyed george. He's 31 years of age.
HPD would like to talk to him. If anyone knows his whereabouts or was a witness to the incident, please contact HPD investigators at 529-3499.
Our family is strong. We're here for each other, and on behalf of our family we greatly appreciate the repostings and the prayers sent our way. We are thankful we live somewhere with so much love.
A memorial Fund has been set up for my Uncle.
THE LINDSAY KANE MEMORIAL FUND
If you choose to make a donation to help with the funeral expenses, they may be made in two ways:
1. Walking into a Bank of Hawaii branch and making a deposit to the "lindsay kane memorial fund"
2. Or by making an online donation via paypal (http://www.paypal.com)to the email address "LKMF@midnightglassworkshawaii.com". Any donations made by businesses/individuals via Paypal will get a personal thank you on my midday shift on behalf of Lindsay Kane's family.
**A BIKE RUN WILL ALSO TAKE PLACE ON THE DAY OF HIS SERVICES. ANY AND ALL CLUBS AND/OR SOLO RIDERS ARE WELCOME TO JOIN THIS RUN TO SHOW RESPECT TO A NOBLE FRIEND, A CHERISHED FAMILY MEMBER, A FELLOW RIDER.
ONCE THE DATES ARE FINALIZED ILL SEND A POST OUT**
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to send me a message on myspace at http://www.myspace.com/rellaontheradio
Once again, thank you so much.
My uncle had so much love to give; its so nice to see it reciprocated even after he's gone

Mike,
Very sorry to hear of your uncle's passing. I hope you find the culprit.
And I hope he rots in jail. Unfortunately our legal system is so Effed up people get manslaughter and serve for less than 3 years these days.
But good luck, and my prayers go out to you and the family.

Whoops...sorry, forgot to add the disclaimer! It's not me, it's from Rella who is on 102.7 Da Bomb in the morning. She posted it to HawaiiTalks earlier, and I'm just spreading it around!
I'm sure she appreciates the sentiments though, thanks guys.

Good to know, Warren. Sorry for the goof guys, remember, it's Rella's Uncle, not mine, although I am extremely saddened to hear of someone like Uncle Kane to lose his life in such a senseless way.
I hope they find the guy soon...I think they will...that guy can't stay hidden forever espescially if they have his name!
