Exclamation Hey Pat look at this.....

The APS "Super Sprint Spec" kit.
370HP@ the flywheel from a Turbo-back, FMIC, Intake, Unichip & Blow Off valve. Due out in feb 04 - just in time for my B-day!

What's a stock STi make @ the flywheel?

I really want to do some power mod's, but I think I'll wait for the next kit that also comes with injectors, turbo and fuel pump.

Isn't the STi rated at 300hp from the factory?

Yep damn, never mind. I've been out of it for a few days.

I wonder how much 70 flywheel HP will cost?

Using Wes's best 1/4 info on the Horsepower Calculator on your site, he makes around 316-335HP

Horsepower Calculator
Input:
Total Car Weight (with driver): 3400
E/T (quarter mile elapsed time): 12.61
Trap Speed (MPH at end of quarter mile): 106

Output:
Trap Speed Method: approx. 316 HP
ET Method: approx. 335 HP

So do you think this kit would make me competitive???

Maybe try to tighten the nut behind the wheel first

Mos def.

I'd guess you'd still be around 300whp even with the drivetrain loss. Aren't those hp calcs figuring crank?

The DSM calculator = wheel HP I think. On a side note: now that I know the exact weight of my car, I'm only putting down around 240 to the wheels....on a cold night

As time goes on, I would recommend the UTEC more and more. There are many factors that make the UTEC an excellent product, especially here in non-AWD loving Hawaii.
