help! license plate light.

well I replaced the bulbs, checked the wires and made sure that the fuse wasn't blown but from what I've seen online the tag lights piggy back off the tail lights. my parking lights work and all that but the plate lights are not coming on. any ideas??

Exposed part of the wire after the piggy back from the taillights therefore grounding out and killing the license plate lights? **purely a guess**

if you've installed led tag lights, they have a polarity and have to be installed a certain way.

if not, tag lights have their own pigtail coming from the tail lights (parking light wires)

Thanks for the advice, I'm gonna have another go at it once I get off work today. I'll try to post some more detailed information. I really need to get this fixed, safety expires this month.

I'm gonna go with the 2pin connector that connects to the 8? pin connector is loose or completely disconnected. unless you have led bulbs like tesh said and are just unlucky, or you have rats that ate through it(i hope it's not this)
