HELP! Clutch may have seized!
So I think my clutch may have seized. The clutch pedal feels loose and feels like it's halfway stuck between engage and disengage. The master cylinder feels loose as well but I don't think there is any leakage as the reservoir is still at the full line. It won't go into gear when the car is on but I can walk it in when its off. Also when I do walk it into gear and turn it on if feels like its studdering forward on its own. This has led me to believe it has seized so I just shut it off. Does anyone else think this may be my problem? What are any temporary solutions if any so I can drive it to the shop? Or am I SOL and have to get a tow truck? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

*update* so upon further inspection of the slave master the cylinder feels completely free moving and loose with the pedal in its return position. But when I push the pedal down it stays down. Possible bad cylinder or slave? Maybe both? Throw out bearing maybe?

*correction* when the pedal is to the floor (but stuck) the cylinder engages. When its back to its engaged postition (after pysically pulling it back up) it feels terribly loose and free moving. Any ideas?

Ok ill give that a try tomorrow and see how that goes. But if I did have to get either the clutch cylinder or the throw out bearing replaced how much would I be looking to spend?

slaves in the gc are notorious for going bad. like said before bleed em a bit and check for bubbles. if still bad remove the slave and inspect it. most likely you're gonna have to just go through the easy stuff first and work till you find it. if you still have fluid then it's probably not leaking so check one thing at a time.

make sure its not your throw out bearing the tabs could have broke and the fork is to far forward not to push it. but once you bleed it you'll fine out or manually pushing your fork with your hand back and forth and if it moves freely its your throw out bearing tabs broke and you will have to replace your throw out bearing. hope this helps

Thanks for the help everyone ill be sure to check for all that when I get to really get down and inspect everything tomorrow. Hopefully its just the slave cylinder gone bad or a bubble in the lines and I won't have to drop the trans to replace the throw out bearing or the clips for it. one last question though, when I push the clutch down and it gets stuck it defnately feels like there is some pressure as it doest fully hit the ground. Could that just be another sign its the slave?

i had fixed my gf younger brothers clutch issue, first replaced with aftermarket part from autozone since it was half price and available, but after installing it for 2 weeks, master cylidner seal went bad and ruined the slave, so returned the part and about new oem factory master and slave and it works perfectly now!

So I haven't actually started bleeding the system yet but right off the bat I noticed that the cylinder has completely deviated from the housing. I take it that's not normal? Also, how much play is there supposed to be at the clutch fork? I dunno whether I'm just crazy and think its broke but I just wanna be sure.

finally got around to bleeding the system. i even bought a new slave cylinder to be sure. Turns out the clutch fork wont go all the way back to its return position and there is a good amount of play in it when i touch it manually. This is why the clutch pedal just dies because there is no return pressure to push back. Lastly, when i turn on the car and push the clutch all the way down there is one hell of a rattling sound coming from the fork and vibration in the pedal. Now after reading around and taking into account everyone's input I'm sure its the throwout bearing/clutch fork/clips that have failed. i wanna just change out the the entire mechanism (i.e throwout bearing, fork, clips, etc.) but does anyone no what all the exact parts with there respective numbers and actual names are so i can order them from the dealership?
