Exclamation Hawaii's Ultimate Streetcar Event:

HAWAII'S ULTIMATE STREETCAR

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

DRIFT SESSION, LLC. ANNOUNCES THE 2005 “ULTIMATE STREETCAR CHALLENGE”

On October 22 and 23, 2005 the Drift Session will be hosting the first ever ULTIMATE STREETCAR CHALLENGE automotive competition in the State of Hawaii. The ULTIMATE STREETCAR CHALLENGE is a veritable decathlon of events designed to test the metal of the fastest, sexiest, and most exciting exotic supercars and highly-modified import and domestic vehicles in Hawaii. Events will take place in various spots around the Honolulu area and at Hawaii Motorsports Center. At the end of the 2-day competition, a single vehicle will be crowned as Hawaii’s ULTIMATE STREETCAR.

During this 2-day competition, competing vehicles will be judged in the following categories:

1. Car Show – overall sex appeal of the vehicle and completeness of image.
2. Fuel Economy – fuel consumption to be measured during escorted cross-island cruise.
3. Daily Driveability – vehicles judged on their ease of use in everyday situations.
4. Vehicle Comfort – vehicles judged on ride quality and interior comforts.
5. Zero to 60 Acceleration – timed measurement of vehicular acceleration.
6. Quarter-Mile Drag Race Time – testing the vehicles ability to put its horsepower to use.
7. Zero to 100 to Zero – acceleration to top speeds and braking distance used.
8. Slalom – timed test to determine vehicle agility.
9. Sustained Lateral G’s – designed to test the vehicle’s resistance to cornering forces.
10. Gross Display of Horsepower – burnouts, donuts, etc. Anything goes.

Unlike traditional motorsports competitions and car shows, the ULTIMATE STREETCAR CHALLENGE takes into account performance as well as style and applicability. During this competition, we’ll be looking for the best all around vehicles that can both show & go.

Basic guidelines of this competition require that all participating vehicles must have current license, registration, and insurance. All vehicles must also retain the basic elements of a street car and be ‘ready to run’ (no popping the hood, swapping parts, etc. between tests). Also, all vehicles must be running on standard pump gas and be rolling on DOT approved street tires.
If you are interested in entering your vehicle (or one of your customer’s vehicles) in the ULTIMATE STREETCAR CHALLENGE, please fax them at (808) 673-1602 or email info@driftsession.com to submit your contact information.

Official competition handbooks will be distributed shortly. Entry fee is $150 per vehicle and the judging panel reserves the right to approve or deny entry for any vehicle. A maximum of 25 vehicles with a limit of 2 identical make / model vehicles will be accepted for this competition so please be sure to enter early.

Extensive media coverage for this event and the winning ULTIMATE STREETCAR have already been secured. Get those entries to them today! Good luck!
